Lose weight with Hypnotherapy (without trying like me!)

 

Yes, that is true…I lost a stone in weight or 6.35kg, without even trying, in fact I didn’t actually want to lose the weight and was consciously trying not to lose weight.

I am a hypnotherapist and for the past year have developed a new technique to help my clients, ‘lose weight without trying’. Those who are overweight or obese can then create the body they desire…and keep it that way. Nobody likes to yo-yo up and down with their weight. Keeping the weight off is an essential component of my weight loss program.

So how did I personally, ‘lose weight without trying’? Well, I did the research to ascertain exactly what we should and should not be eating as humans. It all goes back to the fact that we as a species are ‘hunter-gatherers’.  For 2 million years this has been the case and only relatively recently, about 11,000 years ago we became ‘agricultural farmers’. Undo the Brainwashing-

Hunter-gatherers most likely ate one large meal a day and often went a day or two with no food. Our bodies have learned to thrive in these conditions. This past year I have been playing around with fasting. The science clearly demonstrates the massive health benefits to this. Once you have fasted a few times, say once a month for 24-36 hours, you suddenly look a food differently. However, there is no money to be made from fasting, so you won’t hear Big corporations talking about it.

You realize that an empty stomach is okay, in fact it is extremely healthy and is when you are melting away the fat. I realised that I was a slave to my unconscious programs. They were telling me ‘YOU MUST EAT NOW’…or so I thought that was the message. In fact, it was just a suggestion that I might want to eat. Emotional Eating-

I have had a couple of clients who when they notice their stomach is empty become emotional or ‘Hangry’, if they don’t eat immediately. This is an unconscious program running in the background, possibly from childhood. In hypnotherapy we can change that program for one you prefer. Our eating habits have a great deal to do with emotion. We overeat for many reasons and these can all be addressed in our hypnotherapy session.

 

Lose Weight Without Trying-

The other reason why I unintentionally lost weight, was due to the Virtual gastric band procedure I do in hypnosis. I have been telling my clients that… ‘their stomachs are much smaller now and that as soon as they’ve eaten enough to food to stay healthy and energised, they will automatically push away their plate of food and feel empowered’. Annoyingly I often find myself doing this! Plan Meals Weekly-

Another important area to focus on to lose weight, is to look over your weekly meal plan. Find out where you are going wrong…sometimes you don’t even know you are doing the wrong thing. Diet drinks and sandwiches are not good on a regular basis. Cereals too will instantly send your blood sugar levels high, spike insulin and cause your body to increase in weight. Designing your weekly food intake to come from, fruit, vegetables, nuts, lean meats, fish, some dairy and limited carbohydrates, takes some doing. What did I eat to lose a stone in a few months without trying? A fruit and nut smoothie about 11am. Containing 2/3 pieces of fruit and walnuts, Brazil-nuts and peanuts (any nuts will do). I would blend these together, but importantly I would also eat some nuts whole and some pieces of fruit whole. I would eat a very large main meal with dessert about 5/6 pm. I would love this meal as you appreciate food so much more once you stop eating automatically. This meal would normally be a home cooked one…chill-con-carne, lasagna, lamb chops with sauteed potatoes etc.
