Hypnotherapy on Zoom

 Hypnotherapy and Zoom (online)

Hypnotherapy is often better on Zoom than face to face, here are 5 reasons why?

  1. Comfort (relax in your favourite chair/bed)
  2. Safety (easier to let go, than when first meeting someone new, i.e.; the hypnotist)
  3. No travel
  4. Cheaper (travel, petrol, fees)
  5. Relax much more deeply

Does hypnotherapy work over Zoom? Or Skype or Facetime etc…

Hypnosis is just as effective when performed on Zoom (online) as it is face to face. Why is this I hear you cry? Well, one of the main reasons is that people can ‘let go’ and relax often much better when at home. This is not always the case, as some people find their home life stressful and struggle for a moment’s peace. However, most people who have Zoom hypnotherapy at home, are able to really go with the hypnosis experience and are then able to have fantastic results from our session.

‘All hypnosis is self-hypnosis’, is often quoted by hypnotherapists, Dave Elman being chief among them. What this basically means, is that its not the hypnotist casting some magic spell sending the client into hypnosis, but rather the hypnotist calmy guiding the person into their own trance/hypnosis. Everyone can go into hypnosis…you went into last night just before you fell asleep. It’s a normal natural state everybody can access. The only difference is last night during those few minutes you was passing through hypnosis, nobody was giving you positive suggestions and removing the negative ones, that live in a person’s unconscious mind.

How Does Hypnotherapy work on Zoom?

If you choose to do a hypnotherapy session on Zoom, then you will need a device to access the session. Laptops or iPads are perfect, however mobile phones can also work well.

I will email you a zoom link the day before our session. Then about 5 minutes before the start of our session, you will be able to access our session. If you have never done a Zoom meeting before, we can do a quick test, a few days before.

Hypnotherapy on Zoom

In this post-pandemic world, we live in, many people now work from home more than before. We now realise we can do so much more from the comfort of our home. A hypnosis session on Zoom, saves you time and travel expenses. Zoom is equally as good as face to face and many clients are now moving over to the online sessions. Partly because you are now no longer affected by distance. I have had clients from France to Menorca recently, who have both had amazing results, thanks to Zoom.

Occasionally a client has a disability that means its impossible to leave home, or a mental health issue that prevents them from travelling. Zoom has often been a real savior in these cases.

Is hypnotherapy safe on Zoom?

Yes completely. I have been asked can a person get stuck in hypnosis? This is probably due to some Hollywood movies…the answer is a categorical no. Some people very rarely enjoy hypnosis so much they don’t want to come out of it…or in a large group are not aware of the ‘count up’, out of hypnosis. The ones that are enjoying too much will soon open their eyes, if you tell them they will never experience the wonders of hypnosis unless they open their eyes Now! The ones that didn’t hear the ‘count up’, you specifically say their name as you do the ‘count up’ (1-10) again.

If on the rare occasion the internet crashes, then I tell the client beforehand, that if they don’t hear my voice for over 2 minutes, then they can count themselves back up to full conscious awareness.

In hypnosis you are not asleep. You are aware of all that I say, just relaxed and focused. Its as if you are having a doze on a lazy Sunday afternoon, with the radio on in the background…I’m the radio. And it does not matter one little bit if you pay attention to what in saying, or if you drift off…as in mot talking to your conscious mind, but to your unconscious mind.

How do I book a session?

There are two ways to do this. You can book direct from my website (www.starthypnosis.co.uk/contact/ )…click this link and then click on the Blue Zoom link on that page. This will take you to ‘Calendly’, where you can book your appointment directly. I will then send a payment link later that day.

Or you can call me direct, I am always happy to take calls and book you in personally.
