Below is something I wrote that nicely explains some powerful hypnotherapy and NLP techniques that I frequently use. They help my clients be free from their problems. http://nhs

The Rewind Technique- Parts Negotiation- Time Line Therapy

Hypnotherapy if used correctly and ethically, can be a great remedy for these conditions. There are a great variety of techniques one can use, far too many to name here.

As a general rule, you want to look for the triggers and where appropriate the initial sensitizing event (ISE). Often clients will come for anxiety or stress, but won’t necessarily know the underlyingHypnotherapy Dartford cause.

A thorough initial consultation may help unearth these causes. Relaxation techniques will help with the physical symptoms, along with ego-strengthening to increase self-esteem (Hunter 1994).wiki

Neuro linguistic programming (NLP) can greatly enhance a therapy session. Playing around with the colour, sounds and emotions (sub modalities) of a memory, to decrease the emotion and feeling can be a powerful tool (Andreas 1989)

Along with seeing where the anxiety is in a person’s body, the shape of the anxiety and then moving this shape outside of their body. This can help the person see themselves differently in regards to the anxiety; not as an anxious person, but as a person with anxiety.  To follow are a few techniques that I personally find fascinating.article

The Rewind Technique

The rewind technique, also known as the fast phobia cure, evolved from the technique developed by Richard Bandler one of the co-founders of NLP (O’Connor 2001).Free Recordings

Simply described, the technique works by allowing the traumatized individual, whilst in a safe relaxed state, to reprocess the traumatic memory so that it becomes stored as an ‘ordinary’, albeit unpleasant, and non- threatening memory rather than one that continually activates a terror response.

This is achieved by enabling the memory to be shifted in the brain from the amygdala to the neocortex.

This can be done by viewing the initial sensitizing event (ISE) on a cinema screen. Then the client watching themselves, watching the screen (third person). This helps to desensitize the situation. You can then have the client play the incident backwards and reducing the sub modalities, i.e.; make picture black and white and remove sound and emotion (Andreas 1989).directory

The amygdala’s role is to alert us to danger and stimulate the body’s ‘fight or fight’ reaction. Threatening experience are passed to the amygdala (emotions) and formed into a sensory memory, which in turn is passed on to the hippocampus (memory) and then the neocortex makes sense of them, recalibrates them.

However, with a particularly upsetting experience this system gets overloaded and the experience never gets fully processed and stays trapped in the amygdala.

It is then re-experienced as anxiety, fear, panic attacks or flashback. The rewind technique allows the memory to be converted into narrative, and be put into perspective. Greatly lessening its impact and this process can often take just 15 minutes.

Parts Therapy/ Negotiation

Parts therapy is based on the concept that our personality is composed of a number of various parts. Our personality parts are aspects of the subconscious, each with their respective jobs or functions of the inner mind. In other words, we tend to wear many different hats as we walk through the path of life (Earley 2009).nhs

Pioneered by Dr. John Watkins and Helen Watkins, ego state therapy has gained popularity over the years. Gordon Emmerson, later wrote a great book on the subject called, Ego State Therapy.

Emmerson believes that we use five to fifteen ego states throughout a normal week, and we have more available when needed. Emmerson also believes that hypnosis makes ego state therapy more powerful.

Once the client is in deep hypnosis, ask the anxious part to come forward and have a loving conversation with this part. The ‘part’ will only have been trying to help, as the subconscious is designed for our survival. The fear or anxiety this part is holding, would have perhaps benefited us at one point, but clearly now no longer.

There are many different approaches, but you could then ask this part to take on a different role, perhaps a helpful one such as being a calm composed talker in public (Earley 2009).Hypnotherapy Dartford

Time line therapy

This is an advanced technique and is usually utilized after a few previous sessions have developed rapport and also a good understanding of the client’s problems.

Here, the client is asked to imagine floating above their time line and to go to a point above the event. The client can then be directed to move anywhere on their timeline, before and/or the event.  In many cases the anxiety disappears at that point (Hogan 2001).Call Me or Book Appointment

TLT requires the subjects to elicit the location and orientation of their time line, float above it, and remove all the negative emotions attached to all memories from the past, starting from the first experience the subject felt that emotion.

The entire process, on average, takes less than fifteen minutes. Having said that, there is a whole lot more to the technique and requires someone certified in TLT.

The underlying principle is that, it is good for the client to experience that in the past they did not suffer from this issue and that it is probable they will not suffer from it in their future.

This creates hope in the client’s minds and also memories of a positive future (Hogan 2001)

These are just a few techniques that can help you quickly be free from emotional issues. However, if these are not right for you, there is a plethora of choice. Many techniques can be content free. This means we don’t even need to discus where the difficulty came from!
